Me and a co-worker stopped to pick up some materials. Store only had some of the order on stock, we requested the rest be delivered. Also English clearly wasn't the native language of the woman working, so I don't know if this was a true brain burp or just a bad mental translation moment

Her : Postal Code?
Me: P2A...
Her: 2 the letter or 2 the number?
??????

After we left the store my co-worker starting laughing, and asked me why I had answered 2 the number, he really wanted to see what 2 the letter looked like written down.

Just remember, the "2" is capitalized.

I guess we should consider ourselves lucky our postal/ZIP codes are only five digit numbers.

While the 5 digit numbers "work" the USPS *has* to add the extra 4 digits if you don't supply them.

Check any mail you receive that *doesn't* have all nine digits in the address and you'll see that they've added data to it.
