    Which Way? Where? From Where?

    Me and a salesman last week

    Me: There are two new houses going up on highway near lake, one each on the left and right. You could stop in and see if they need quotes.
    Him: From which side?
    Me: Which side of what?
    Him: Are they on the left and right if you are coming from the South or from the North?
    Me: Uh....

    Giving him time to change his question, getting a blank stare

    Me: From the south?
    Him: Okay, so if I come from the North there's one each on the left and right?
    Me: Sure

    Pain and suffering are inevitable...misery is optional.

    From the South they're on the left and the right.
    From the North they're on the right and the left!
