  • Ahh stupid brkroke my brain

Not at the gun range but at my weekday job a customer states-
I have a FFL (federal firearms lic)so I can carry in all 50 states.
I of course try to give a clue but the old guy who's also now a PI-
before 9-11 I could even carry on planes because of being a PI and FFL

Finally I said suuuurree...get caught in NY/NJ and try that reason-

No he really is CC doesn't mean just transport for dealer business.

For those who don't know- there's no such thing. Only LEO's can carry all 50.
FFL means you can sell guns and more it has nothing to do with packing heat. Every state has it's own rules for carry and some like NJ it's non existent and does not accept any other states lic.

Sarcasm dear, sarcasm. I’m well aware that dealing with civilians in any capacity will skin your faith in humanity alive, then pickle anything that remains so as to watch it shrivel up into an immortal husk thus reminding you of how dead inside you now are.

Sounds like this guy is looking to become a FORMER FFL.

I've read about someone who was travelling out of state when 9/11 happened, and she was able to buy a gun for security during the drive home (one-way rental) BECAUSE she was an FFL. It has nothing to do with concealed carry.

PI is NOT law enforcement. On a commercial flight, being a PI and FFL, and $40, will get you a crappy meal that would cost under $10 at an off-airport shop. Only air marshalls (whose job is to provide undercover in-flight security) can legally bring a gun onto a plane.
Any fool can piss on the floor. It takes a talented SC to shit on the ceiling.

Some Pilots can also carry, provided they are part of the "Federal Flight Deck Officer" program administrated by the Air Marshalls.
Just sliding down the razor blade of life.

Got figure I'm pro 2A and don't agree with the laws there, it is there law, it's not a secret. This asshat will get nailed in NJ and cry up a storm with a lot of my fellow supporters on how unfair it is.
But I'm left saying no it's not. You gave a gun you need to know the law. I don't like it so I boycott those states that way there's no chance of me falling prey to them.

We had a Conceal Carry Weapon trainer in TN that was giving out all kinds of dumb rules.

          To include:

You can not CC a loaded weapon.
You can not have a Loaded Weapon in your house.
Ammo must be out of the Mag in stored in a different room than the weapon.
You must surrender your weapon to any officer that you talk to before talking to them. (Good way to get shot that one)
If traveling with your Weapon any where in state you must have it unloaded and locked in the trunk.

All of these are fake rules / laws he made up and everyone that took his class we had to retrain.

              1. What good is a CCW license then?
              2. Good advice when you have small kids in the house. Although I prefer a trigger lock.
              3. Also good advice when you have small kids in the house unless those kids know where everything is.
              4. Yeahhhh. No. I'd rather inform them that I have a CCW and I'm packing then go from there.
              5. I do this in WA since my SD CCW isn't good there. This is actually the law in South Dakota pertaining to motorcyclists, even those with CCWs, you cannot carry a loaded weapon when riding a motorcycle.

S.D. ccw laws do not called out motorcycle carry. IAW www.handgun.us and S.D atty gen letters there are no laws with carrying while on a cycle.
Can you provide a source, please?
As long as you have a ccw you can ride packing IAW state law

That was from my State sanctioned handgun safety course. IAW?? Anyways I went and looked again and looks like things have changed since the last time I checked. At one time you couldn't conceal carry on a motorcycle which was probably aimed at the motorcycle gangs - from the SD SOS website:

                  9. Can I carry a concealed carry on my motorcycle?

Pursuant to SDCL 32-20-6.6, a person may carry a concealed pistol on a motorcycle if they are in possession of a valid concealed carry permit. Otherwise, the firearm must be unloaded and cased.

                  23
                  Chapter 32-20

                  Motorcycle Regulation

§ 32-20-6.6. Carrying firearm on motorcycle or off-road vehicle-Exception for holder of concealed pistol permit or disabled hunter permit-Enforcement-Violation as misdemeanor.

No person, other than a law enforcement officer or conservation officer, or any person on the person's own land or land leased by the person, may operate or ride on any motorcycle or off-road vehicle with any firearm in the person's possession unless the firearm is completely unloaded and within a carrying case which encloses the entire firearm. However, this section does not apply to any person who is carrying a pistol and possesses a permit to carry a concealed pistol issued pursuant to chapter 23-7.

This section does not apply to any person who holds a permit issued pursuant to § 41-8-37 while engaged in hunting from an off-road vehicle in accordance with the provisions of the permit. This section shall be enforced by all law enforcement officers including conservation officers. A violation of this section is a Class 2 misdemeanor.

From the context, I believe it's Federal Firearms License. Basically it's a permit to be a gun dealer.

The link is to an article were a local gun shop dealer (FFL) convinced 2 other people to go to NYC to "save" a girl from drugs in a truck that TMNT would say turn it down. Get profiled and when stopped have guns, loaded mags and oh yea drugs.
