That's what I did when he told me. Of course, the booze-a-hol might have had something to do with that.

My mother did that when she was still able to walk a bit, before she started using the scooters; she'd use the trolley as a walker, even if she only wanted a couple of bits.
My mom, who has a pretty good case of Parkinson's, does the same thing! Though she doesn't usually just get a few items, as she doesn't get to the store very often since she can't drive. (And there isn't any public transportation where she lives.)
“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged.
One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world.
The other, of course, involves orcs." -- John Rogers

I've done it myself since I have back issues and suffer if I use a basket.
When I was still working at Bullseye, and had to do shopping after work I would always grab a cart no matter how much I had to get. After being on my feet all day it was nice to have something to lean on .

Someone was shooting them off near me last night. I'm hoping the city called in police/fire/bomb squad again. It shouldn't take too many of those bills to get even the idiots to knock it off...

On my way home tonight, a big one was set off maybe a quarter mile from me... in a rather bad neighborhood. At first, I thought someone was shooting, which would've been more normal for that area than fireworks.
