I was ringing through a customer in my age range today and was, for some reason, trying to work very quickly (far from being slammed, we were DEAD today, so there wasn't any reason for me to be rushing). I hit a wrong key, realized it, hit 'Clear' and totalled her purchases, and she paid.
When I pulled off the receipt to hand to her, I started to laugh. I had hit the "Student Discount" key ... and it worked. Which I wasn't expecting. She got about $2.50 off her small selection of groceries.
