OUr store went through a refit before Christmas. Now for those who don't and haven't worked in a supermarket.

      Refit + Christmas shopping=hell.

Oh and let's not forget the kindly old gentleman who told me the reason for why the refit was taking place-so everyone will have to look for everything and therefore they'll buy more. I would've responded with sarcasm except I was on my probationary period. If anyone tries it on me this year....mwahahaha. (I've been there for a year now).

Believe me, I'm considering digging out my old trainee badge and wearing it to mess with the customers heads. (the regulars will know me, but because I don't do day shifts a lot, I'll be a "newbie" to the customers)

And then, to add another twist to the discussion, those customers who complain about not being able to find the same things on the same aisles in different locations of the same chain.

The Litter Box is noted for this: each and every store in the area has a different layout. No two stores are laid out exactly the same.

If I go shop at the one I work at, I know exactly where everything is. Going to my old location (the one I used to work at prior to the current one) I have to hunt around.

It's even worse at the one nearest the house . . . I find vegetables on aisle 4, for example but at my store they're on aisle 3. At least the frozen foods are way over just past Produce on the first 2 aisles, like at my store (while at the old store, they are on aisles 13 and 14, just before you get to the Dairy department and the beer case.)

I think the Litter Box does this just to confuddle people. . .
