And I've just confirmed that half the forum has gutter minds.
Only half? You're being charitable! Of course, I think a good portion of us (myself included) live in the sewers, and barely manage to get up into the gutter on a good day.
...WHY DO YOU TEMPT WHAT LITTLE FAITH IN HUMANITY I HAVE!?! -- Kalga
And I want a pony for Christmas but neither of us is getting what we want OK! What you are asking is impossible. -- Wicked Lexi
You should try it sometime. You can find shiney objects in the gutter sometimes.

The Los Bastardos is still playing in the Dallas/Fort. Worth area I believe. They're a wonderful troupe.
The one I always go to in New Mexico is entirely volunteered but I know just about everyone on the troupe and they're pretty damned good.

Leaving that thing unattended? I won't even let my phone go anywhere outside of my purse or out of my hand. That moron. She's lucky and very, very stupid.
yeah, cos even tho i love the security on my mac... that doesn't mean someone can't break into it or take over the computer if they have physical access to it.
harder on a macbook pro, but it's possible to take the drive out and just replace it with another mac-formated drive and voila... you have a new computer. (same reason why i keep my original mac drive around, just in case i screw up the hdd i'm using right now)
and it sounds a little like she needs to get familiar with the mac's settings and how to keep the battery running as long as possible, etc. in fact... she could have probably saved some power by putting the computer in sleep mode, wait for the light to start flashing on the front of the computer, removed the battery, and had more than enough power to do the file transfer when she got to the store. (When you put the macbooks in sleep mode they save the data to the computer, so that the data will be there, even if the battery dies... or gets taken out)
If that dumbass can't keep up with it better than that, I'll adopt it. I can assure you it would be well looked after.
One simply doesn't leave a laptop unattended. Too tempting a target for theives and, speaking for myself, I work too damn hard for what I have to let someone else walk off with it and I'd probably try to kill anyone who did try to run off with my Gypsy.
I'm sounding like a laptop parent, aren't I? I guess since I don't have kids, the laptop and the furbabies are mine.
As for the planned strip-show, I'm not game unless there's going to be males involved as well.
