  • enunciate or spell your name when making a reservation

SC: *over the phone* Hi, I was wondering if you still have rooms left for tomorrow, well Tues and Wed night?
Me: Let me look. Yep, we sure do.
SC: Okay, I need two rooms.
Me: Okay, did you need smoking or non?
    SC: Non please
Me: Okay I have some 2 queen rooms in nonsmoking, if that works for you?
SC: Sure, that would be fine.
Me: Did you have any discounts, like AAA?
SC: No, but we do have a cooperate rate (She is one of the few who don't assume a cooperate rate is discount, but I digress).
Me: Okay, is the company's rate already set up through our sales department (that is the only way our hotel offers cooperate rates)?
SC: Yes, it's under * she literally prounounced* Teen Financial.
Me: *looking up the T's to see if there is anything close to what she said, not finding it* I am sorry, could you spell that because I am not finding it in my listing here.
    SC: Yeah it's *t* *y* *a* *n*
    Me: T? as in Tom?
    SC: No, P!!!
Me: Oh Payne Financial, I see. I am sorry. I found it.
    SC: That's fine
Me: Okay & what name would you like on these rooms?
SC: Terri, and my last name is Emm... (I am having a difficult time understanding what letter is what, soo...)
Me: Okay the last name has two M's? As in Mary Mary?
SC: Yes. And there is an "N" as in Nancy at the end.
Me: Okay. And are you a **member?
SC: Yes, I am but I have never learned my number. (Novel idea, keep the card on your person!)
Me: Okay, what city & state would it be located in?
    SC: *town in Montana*
Me: Alright...hmm, I can't seem to find one for that location... (Important: There is a person with first name Terri and this lady's last name that came up, but that person is from Oregon.)
SC: Well, I have one. I just stayed at the at another *hotel cooperate* last week, aren't you part of them?
Me: Yes we are, was this our hotel?
SC: No. It was *another one*
Me: Well, I can't look into their system but as long as you get your number in by checkout it will still count. If you have an old receipt those have the *member's* number on them.
SC: You can't just search *other hotel's* computer system for it?
Me: No, I am sorry, I can only search our hotel for previous stays. I can also search for *member's* numbers over the *member* system, but I didn't find one from *her location*.
SC: Well, it's under Kerri, with a "K".
Me: Oh Kerri! Okay! I am sorry, I heard a T as in Tom there. I just am not hearing you tonight.
SC: Yeah the other hotel found a Terri from Oregan last time.
Me: (OHHH So I am not the only one you can't pronounce or spell your name to! Ha! Caught! You'd think you would get your number written down or maybe SPELL your name out so this wouldn't be an issue!!! Idiot!) Ohh. Well...*finish reservation*

you're lucky to be able to look up numbers on the member system... if they haven't stayed with us we can't look up a number... and I love people who can't enunciate then get upset when we can't find their record.
If you wish to find meaning, listen to the music not the song

Wow, she seemed like an SC though. If people had problems with my name I'm sure to make it easier for other people.
Time! Time! Time is what turns kittens into cats.

Don't teach me a lesson; all I learn is that you are an asshole.

      I wish porn had subtitles.
