  • crazy guy, part 2

I don't care what anyone else where I work thinks, but crazy guy should have been booted long ago. He has extended his reservation by a day every day.

Tonight...well I do the books and the credit card he is using DECLINED. It authorized stays for 3 nights already, but tonight it finally declined. Normally this would mean that he went over his limit, but...

I always try to manually authorize at least half the amount to see if the card is even valid. Well, the card won't even authorize $1, which to me means it was stolen. It is highly unlikely that he charged exactly the amount that was left on his credit card. Even cards that won't authorize $10 will authorize $1 if they are over limit.

Now crazy man gives me the "could be dangerous" vibe. SO this is exciting. He is uaully up all night, too, so odds are I will get to deal with him

I am nearly 100% sure his ID wasn't checked with the credit card either *sigh*

Well, crazy guy kept extending & extending his stay day by day. His card never did authorize (oh & I did check the card when he came in inquire about it, it was his. So either he canceled it or the company did...???), but he kept paying cash to make up for it. At one time he actually came up to the desk & told them he ran out of money to wash his cloths and ACTUALLY expected us to give him money so he could clean his cloths. um....riiiight

I guess, also, he claimed to my replacement auditor that workman's comp insurance fraud people were after him. okay....

Finally, management banned him. He is just acting too strange. He isn't allowed to stay here anymore. And guess who got to be the first one to confront him? That's right...me...

He came in after 10pm & I had to lie to him & told him we were full. Then, magically, he was supsta have a room held for him. Nope, management booted him out, took his crap out of his room ,& put it in lost & found. I didn't tell him this, though, I just acted surprised that we didn't have a room for him.

Weird guy wouldn't leave without his stuff, so I had to call our Front Desk manager/sales associate to ask her what to do. She told me where the key to lost & found was, and I got his stuff out and brought it to him. And guess what? He didn't care about anything he left behind other then he was missing a particular pill box which I could not find. He agreed to come back in the morning.

End of the story is, yes they finally banned him. Thank G-d!
