Ok, I can understand that you are nervous about a test you have to take. You want to use the right study guide. But maybe you shouldn't haven't waited so long? Or else get the exact title you need, instead of handing me a piece of paper saying "get a COMPASS guide" and another paper that has hand writen "www.thea.com".
Guy comes up to me. He placed a book on hold but it's not on the hold shelf. He was told to come up here and we would get him a copy of the book. No, he doesn't have the exact title, but it was for the THEA test. So I take him to the self and there are 3 diff. THEA study guides.
guy: which one is it?
me: all three are study guides for the THEA.
guy: but which one do I want?
me: well, look at each one, see what best fits what you need.
and I open each book to the chapter guide, so he can look.
So he comes back to me and shows me two pieces of paper. I look up "COMPASS" and all copies are checked out. the paper that says "www.thea.com" doesn't help me.
I do feel for him, the book he requested isn't on the hold shelf, but if there was a specific book he wanted, he should have the name.
Oh, and the test he has to take is in 2 days. Ok, maybe he was so busy with life that this is the first chance he could come in to get a book to study. But maybe he should have prepared himself in advance.
