As you can tell by my signature, the most annoying words i hear repeated day after day are "Can I get a strawberry banana smoothie?"
I know that some smoothie places you can just say what fruit/flavor you want and they throw it in and blend it up. Not Us..we have a huge menu with clever names for each individual smoothie that is literally right in front of you as you walk into my store. Cant miss it...but again..I forget about where I am. *sigh*
On this menu board we have 6 smoothies alone that are specifically strawberry banana flavored but probably 75% of the menu actually has strawberry and bananas in it. So when one asks for a smoothie with strawberry and bananas in it (or just strawberry is runner up!) without looking at the menu....I..well...damn I wish I really had a flamethrower.
Anyhoo...Tonight we had the gem of all strawberry bananners. She wanted a strawberry banana smoothie that came in a cup! yes..that's right she wanted the smoothie that came in a cup....Apparently she was under the impression that once we were done with the smoothie we just poured it in her hands!
I was standing over my team member's shoulder waiting to make the smoothie when I heard it and I had to turn around to stifle my laugh. I was crying I was laughing so hard (but as discreetly as possible...I'm surprised she didn't notice!)
Gotta love those customers that put their own twists on things!
