Last night at the cinema I work in, I looked at my clipboard and saw that all the films were out
. I then sent someone to lock the doors and I collected the radios. This being the routine that I have done for over Two years I didn't think anything else of it. After we locked up everyone signed out and I took both the keys and the radio upstairs. This is how most of my shifts go. What I would normally now would be to go home.
Unfortunately Last night something else happened. I came down stairs and opened the door to the foyer and saw about 200 people coming out of screen 5
I died a little inside. After narrowly missing a heart attack I sprinted back upstairs and asked the manager for the keys back. He looked at me with a grin and said "locked someone in have you?" I replied with a "Uh sort of." as I ran off just as he looked at the security cameras and his face fell.
I got downstairs to see the guests milling around the locked doors

I could hear stifled giggles as I opened the doors and they filed out.
Strangely enough we checked all the screens again after they left before going home with a feeling of huge embarrassment.
All I can do now is
but I'm so glad that I'm not working until Saturday now.
What a night
