I've seen a few recently (including my own)
the sign doesn't lie
I'm sure most of you are familiar with the scrolling sign boards on buses that tell you the route number, name, and where it was going. Bus pulls up, the sign says route 41, 4100 south, to Meadowbrook Trax.
What is the first thing the guy in front of me asks the driver...
you guessed it
"does this bus go to Trax"
one from yesterday was just about as bad
"does this bus go along 4100 south"
this isn't new
OK, so over a month ago UTA switched over to an electronic pass system. Really cool, just tap the pass, or even your wallet holding the pass (or as I posted earlier, your ass pocket with your wallet and pass in it... I still want to try that one of these days) up to the card reader. Why then, do I still see people, who flash the pass at the driver then get upset when the driver tells them to tap it on the reader. The flash passes are no longer... get used to it.
smiley has a brain burp
OK, today, while crossing the Trax line I had the though... I wonder what would happen if the power failed and the crossing gates didn't work... would they still be able to run the trains (because seriously, drivers in utah are that stupid that they can't watch for the trains otherwise)... then it dawned on me... the crossing gates are connected to the same electric system that powers the trains
