This might give some people a smile.

I had a customer last week at my register who wanted to pay for her shopping by card. However, it was declined for whatever reason. I wasn't expecting the following snippet of conversation, though.

Me: I'm sorry, madam. Your card's been declined....
Customer: Declined?! What does that mean?

Hah, I get that sometimes.

Me: Ma'am/Sir, your card's saying insufficient funds.
SC: What? What's that mean?
Me: Um... It means... there's no money..?
SC: *cat butt face*
