I was half listening to a co-worker's call from someone who had given a relative of hers in a nursing home some money to donate to us in memory of someone there who had passed away; but who now suspects she just spent the money.
My co-worker was asking for donor names, etc., address info, etc. so she could look for them in our database, all with no luck.
She then asked the caller "Just for kicks, what's the deceaseds' name?".
Not the most delicately worded question but it made me giggle.
And no, the donation never made it to us.
