I am helping cover another deptartments phones today. I just had this guy call.
Me: >opening speil<
Guy: Hi, can I speak to John Smith*
Me: I can see if he is available. May I ask who is calling?
Guy: Tom Brown*
Me: One moment please. (calls co-workers ext# and get no answer)
Me: I'm sorry, he appears to be away from his desk at the moment. Can I transfer you to his voicemail to leave a message?
Guy: No, thats OK. I think he's out of the office this week anyway. I'll call again tomorrow.
I think my brain has melted....
