This one woman comes into my line with a child who looked easily 6 or 7 years old...with a pacifier in her mouth!! What is wrong with parents?? Lose the binky at 2 years old. Not only is it beneficial for psychological development, but it also prevents the child's teeth from getting all screwed up.
And a note to some other parents:
If your child is too big to sit in the top part of the carriage, s/he is probably big enough to walk alongside you. If you must insist on putting him/her in the lower portion of the carriage, please remove him when you get in line so I don't have to pack your groceries around him/her. (In fact I do insist that they remove children from the carriage.)
