  • What was that man's job ?

It's not sucky, ir is funny - and it's kind of a brain burp on behalf of my colleague. Mostly I just want to share this.

Yesterday I had a customer who is apparently a cage fighter.

I was telling the receptionsit how much this suprised me (I was basically thinking "I could take him!", he's very small and thin, and very anxious as well).

He'd told her all about his job (actually all about his life) as well - but she'd misheard and thought he was a caterer

Just very funny to think of him talking with real pride about being a cage fighter, and how this meant he knew how to take care of himself etc. etc. (he kind of puffed up talking about it) while she was thinking about him cooking sauces and icing cakes.

Funny you should mention that...Down heah, for some reason, there is a serious subversion of that "women are the cooks" stereotype...It's the opposite here. In many families, cooking is considered to be something the 'Man' needs to do (not always, but more often than not), and this is *especially* true in restaurants...We have many incredibly good female chefs, but they are outnumbered by the kickass male chefs. Maybe it's a Louisiana thing >_>
