Seriously, this was probably about 30 years ago, when I was in the early years of what I like to refer to as "my former life," driving a bus.
By the time I quit the city had nice big normal-size buses, but back when this happened we had little Mercedes buses that were really designed as airport shuttles or something. They seated a grand total of 17 passengers. If you were over 5'3" you couldn't stand up straight in the back. Tiny little buses.
So one day, this woman pulls the cord to signal for a stop, stands up, and says, "There's no back door!" Yes, this is true. There was only one door. So she cries "How do we get out?!"
Okay, maybe the story isn't all that funny, but even after all these years it does me good to share with people who will understand my
frustration.
