Two separate incidents on the same theme yesterday.
We had an induction for new PhD students yesterday, and one of them happens to be called Willie. Unfortunately, he couldn't be there yesterday, and one of the continuing students said to the supervising professor 'Oh, you seem to have lost your Willie!' She realised what she'd said as I burst out laughing.
Then later on, I was waiting around for the coffee-and-cake session after the inductions. There was a presentation going on in the next room about assessment structures for one of the courses, and the presenter mixed her metaphors somewhat. Given a choice between 'scare the pants off someone' and 'give someone the willies', she came out with 'Exams scare the willies off most students!'
