I could understand mistaking cola for beer if it was in a certain bottle -- Barq's "classic recipe" version (actual cane sugar instead of HFCS) comes in glass longnecks.

Quoth Arcade Man D View PostYeah, actually, Jones Soda Company was originally from Vancouver, BC, and only moved to the States in 2000. So it's more proof that Canadians (and American Pacific Northwesterners) are weird.
No kidding? Sweet. It makes a lot more sense now.

I wasn't talking about the can. I have like, six different beers that are red labeled. Jones soda comes in glass bottles. The soda itself a real thick red color.Military Spouse Support.

Honestly it's sort of brownish-golden, I have never seen a bright red beer.

That's not surprising. Lots and lots of alcohol in vanilla extract. I took a glug from the bottle once and all I tasted was alcohol.Quoth fireheart17 View PostShe better be careful if she does.
I remember reading an incident where a bottle of that stuff wound up causing a kid to die from hypothermia and alcohol poisoning.

I'm not a beer drinker at all, I just happen to be half-familiar with some of the local brands.
I prefer cider myself, but that tends to be almost the same colour as beer, and doesn't come in red bottles or cans. (Mostly black or gold, or some combination of the two.)
Now wine is something you would expect to be red. Beer... no.
