A few bits of background info here:
- the women's groups at church have a huge cookie sale in mid-December, this is always a very popular event. The actual sale is on a Saturday morning, but they have people coming in the Friday evening before to get things set up.
- "Penny" (the president of the women's groups) is a sweet lady, but kind of ditzy/forgetful at times.
Anyhow, last week Penny came into the church office asking for a form to fill out for our custodian so he'd know how they needed things set up for the cookie sale. She also called the next day because she'd forgotten to mention that they needed something put on the marquee sign to help advertise.
The "brain burp" factor comes in because this past Monday, Penny came in to drop off the "set-up" form, and asked if we had something up on the marquee sign regarding the cookie sale. She totally did not remember having called and spoken with me about this last week, and apparently had not noticed that the sign HAD been changed to advertise that.
