I worked for a major electronics retailer for about four years. I got a lot of questions for electronic items that we did sell but only online, and most of those customers were reasonable.
The oddest one I had was from a woman who had done about a lap and a half through the store, browsing our stuff. She approached me in the computer department and asked, "So, where do you keep your patio furniture."
I heard a story from one of the managers that, at another store of the same chain, he had a guy ask what they did with "the pizza bar that was upstairs." That store never had an upstairs, let alone a "pizza bar," but the customer was insistent that he had bought pizza inside that store before.

Definitely the weirdest thing was if we sold boxes of Kleenex tissue. They're also made out of paper... but still...
