  • Chicken and fish: two different things

OK, simple order today, 2 sandwhiches and 2 drinks. Should be easy, right? Not with senior citizens. I can't remember the whole convo, but the wife ordered a fish and the husband kept saying chicken, chicken, chicken while she smacked him on the arm, scolding him about NO MEAT (it's lent). I finally deduced he MEANT fish, but was saying chicken. He was telling me he wanted the new kind of fish on promo when she interrupted to bark at me "Now what did we order??" I repeated it and she confirmed, even though the husband's part was wrong & I didn't know. So of course they complained later. And I gotta say that the man was 2 inches from my face--very uncomfortable--and the woman kept interrupting. So, yeah, a sucky brain burp.

"Is it hot in here to you? It's very warm, isn't it?"--Nero, probably

Total Jessica Simpson moment: "Is this chicken or is this fish?"
Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.

Old man: "What's the difference between the #8 and the #9?"
Me: (blink, turn around and look at the board a couple seconds, turn back around) "Well, the McChicken meal comes with a chicken sandwich, while the Filet-O-Fish meal comes with a fish sandwich."
Wife: (looks at him like he's stupid)
Now the trouble about trying to make yourself stupider than you really are is that you very often succeed.
