Today I went to the grocery store to pick up a few things, and when I went to slide my card to pay I kept getting an error message. The cashier tried it a couple of times too, and we couldn't figure out what the problem was. She called someone over to help, and they informed us that I was trying to use my wal-mart giftcard which just happens to be the same color as my debit card.

I had a customer do that. Neither of us recognized it wasn't for my store. The laughable part is that it was a Walmart giftcard, which have magnetic strips, and ours don't. I still didn't get that it wasn't one of ours. duh
