  • Your student ID is not a garage access card

Guy driving a white car drives past the visitor parking booth & drives up to the entrance gate to the faculty/staff garage. A couple of minutes later he backs up & drives up to the visitor parking booth. He shows me his student ID card & says "I have this access card to park in the faculty garage, but it is not working." I look at his student ID card & I say "no, this is not an access card." He looks at his student ID card, says "thank you for telling me that", & he backs up & leaves.

Lol, I had someone try to give me their library card rather than their store card to get the discounts yesterday. And my mom told me she once accidently gave a cashier a casino card instead of her savings card.

One of the supermarket chains here has one of those "bonus cards" that gets you sale prices on certain items every week. Once, while using the self-scan, I pulled out the wrong card (it was for the chain pet store next door), swiped it over the machine's scanner and IT TOOK IT.

Does the pet store's card start with the same numbers that the store you were in did? In my store before they stopped allowing us to any store card from another store that had the same starting numbers would go in.

I remember reading something to the effect that their are a few companies that produce the cards and all they do is print the logo, etc but use the same numbers, assuming they cashiers look at the logo to make sure it is the correct card.

I was shopping at Pathmark and my Shoprite card fell out.

            ...it took it :O

I haven't seen my store take other store's cards (makes me wonder if cards of our sister chain would work) - except accidentally scanned CVS cards will give you a weird message saying "IRI Panel Number".
