...So I'm too tired to figure out where this goes. If a mod wants to move it, fine by me.
To start, I got NO sleep Sunday night.
Zip. Zero. Nada. I guess I messed up my sleep schedule over my vacation, staying up late writing, and then couldn't get back into the usual routine. So I got up about 5 AM and puttered around for 2 hours. Bah.
Get to work, 1st day back, note on the desk says they did a computer system upgrade. Oh joy. We're on version 13.7.something now. Is it any faster? No.
Now, it's a slow time of year, but when I found NO voicemail from the weekend, and calls weren't coming in, it was a little weird. Turned out the phone system was routing everything into the day voicemail (different ext. than the night/weekend one). Took half a day to get that fixed.
Best call of the day: Had an old lady wanting to place an ad to sell diesel fuel. Asked her how they are supposed to receive it because you can’t mail that. She didn’t know. Said she’d check and call back. Calls back late in the afternoon, now she’s claiming it goes by UPS. Um, NO. No, it does not, neither the US postal service nor UPS will do that.
She paid someone $99 to become a "distributor." From what I can find online, you need a license (minimum $1000) and a truck delivery system, and you don't deal in small amounts. She thought she was going to sell diesel fuel to people that use diesel in their trucks. Poor old thing got taken by a scammer.
