The grocery store I worked at has like 20 stores in the city and 300+ in total.
Like any large company with stores built over many years services vary and sales vary.
On this date we had two customers come up. I forget the details but they mentioned they had come from much closer to another store.
They wanted items from sale we didn't have. No, they didn't get it. It was a store-only sale. They were cool about it.
Sounds like a non-sucky situation and it was.
What got me is I did some math in my head and even at the sub $2 price gas was at the time they actually spent more money than they saved driving to our store one way.
