  • Any specific shade, sir?

Had a bit of difficulty today trying to explain to a customer that describing an item as "flesh-colored" is really not particularly accurate...

Reminds me of when my friend Krista and I worked at Goodwill.

We'd have to do the colorization for the shirts.

White shirts to khaki and beige: Us, us, us, us, "normal" - better put that where it belongs, us, us, us, etc.

    (We were exceedingly pale.)

I think the guy thought I was trying to be PC, but I wasn't...He told me it was "sort of pink" but he didn't want to say pink...Took a while to get the idea across that some people are going to picture brown or olive or something if they read "flesh colored."

And I'm really pale, too. Even if I take on a little color in the summer, it fades in a few hours.
