Self sighting in the cargo elevator

I was helping take out the trash tonight, and to do that, you load the trash into the elevator, and go down.

I've never done this before, and the elevator was overstuffed. I saw a button and went 'hey, you must be the one to push to go down. Right?" So I push the button.

... Huh. ringing is a funny noise for an elevator to make.

"Hello. Campus Police."

Ohshit. "Uh... I'm sorry, I hit the wrong button."

"Hello?"

Crapcrapcrap, hold the button this time "I'm sorry, I hit the wrong button."

At least I didn't get fined for misuse of emergency phones.
