A customer walked up to me at self checkout and proceeds to tell me he walked around the store for an entire hour and could not find a single employee to help him.

So I asked him what he needed and he gives me this blank look and he doesn't say anything. I ask again and he finally says "Canned greens." I ask him for specifics and he repeats "Canned greens." So I give up trying to get information out of him and call for a courtesy clerk, in hopes that they have better luck.

I tried to be helpful but he was insistent that we had no employees working and refused to tell me how I could help.

I get people like this all the time. They'll say they couldn't find anyone to ask and then when I ask them what they're looking for they can't think of what to call it or it's something really obvious.
