Today's hipper-than-thou moment

Lady comes up to me with a CD by the group Sleigh Bells and asks me "Isn't it a bit late for Christmas music."

Me: (looking at the label on the top of the CD case) Sleigh Bells is the name of the band, and it isn't Christmas music.

Lady: Oh.

Me: More like loud electronic music.

Lady: Oh, I don't want that!

She obviously didn't want it when she brought it up to you... You can tell when someone is trying to be genuinely helpful or is just being a jerk.
