Background: It was a Monday evening. I needed to get my daughters Tae Kwon Do uniform cleaned for her belt test on Wednesday evening. I had forgotten to bring the uniform with me to town and I needed to know if I dropped it off Tuesday would it be ready in time for her test.

My hubby called one of the local dry cleaners to inquire if they had same day service. The clerk that answered the phone stated no they do not. Disappointed but ok. So he then asked if we dropped it off Tuesday morning when would it be ready. In the hopes it would available for pickup sometime early Wednesday. To that the clerk replied... If you have it to us before 9am on Tuesday you can pick it up after five that day.

I suspect they once had "same day service" but got tired of people dropping things off at 2:00 p.m. and expecting them to be ready at 5:00 p.m. So no more same day service, but if you ask nicely and drop it off by 9:00 a.m., it will be ready at 5:00 p.m.
