Customer: I have a catalog that has an offer for free shipping on orders $49 or more; my order is $23, do I get the free shipping?

sure. just triple the order first.

I'd like to meet that customer when I'm short on change, and ask if he's got 2 twenties for a ten. After all, he clearly doesn't understand the concept of "less than" as opposed to "greater than".
