A few days ago I was on an 8 hour shift. I noticed that the mop bucket had been left out from the day before. I thought that I might as well get some mopping done since we were slow. I opt for fresh water and proceed out to the sales floor when this happened:
1. Mop bucket decided he and the floor were no longer friends
It tipped over transitioning from floor A to floor B. Spills all down hallway, causing mini flood. Takes about 45 minutes to an hour to mop that up.
2. I'm nearly done with mopping when I look up and see people at the register. Sup is the only other associate in the store, I wave him over explain situation and he grabs me caution signs while I wait/mop so no one slips. Quickly he helps different people than those at counter so I ring them up. I apologize for the wait, lady says wait? We didn't wait here at all. Yay no SC.
3. A while I'm back in the bathroom after mopping. I notice that there's tons of water around the first stalls toilet. I ask Sup if he mopped. He's puzzled, no. "Well then the toilet's leaking."
Turns out that I didn't shut the faucet off for mop fillings. This was hours after the first fill.
