We recently joined a gym in our quest to maintain our fitness goals so that we can still run/exercise when the weather is bad. They have this lovely sauna where you can go in and sit and relax and warm up your muscles. Not for me, but my 12 year old son loves it. He thinks nothing of plopping himself in there with a bunch of girls or women!
Just last night, my boss (G) came to me (at the gym) and says, "your son just gave all those teenie boppers a math lesson!" I had a puzzled look on my face I'm sure. G said, "yeah, they were trying to figure out the math on how much weight they have to lose each week for the next 3 weeks to lose a total of 16 lbs. They were trying all sorts of combinations when your son pipes up and sets them straight!"
These are all 15-17 year old girls, I'm sure, preparing for the prom that is coming up in the next few weeks. I got a chuckle out of this although my son didn't see the humor in it. Math is just his thing! (Apparently sitting in the sauna with the girls is, too!)
