Turn and turn about

A group of us were in a car convoy on the way to a fancy dress party at our favourite London club.

The lead car missed the turn and decided to turn off the main road into a side road to turn around. We all followed him.

Unfortunately, none of us noticed that we had just turned into a one-way street from the wrong direction . For bonus points, we did it in front of about a dozen policemen about to start their shift...

We apologised profusely (we hadn't seen the sign as the light was out), and they let us go with a warning to pay more attention. Good thing they had a sense of humour!

One car driving the wrong way down a one-way street is an idiot. An entire convoy would make me question my sanity and knowledge of which was was the right way...mind would be blown.

When I was fairly young I was in a convoy of people going to a wedding party. I was about 6 cars back, and there were more cars behind me. No one knew where we were going except the lead driver... Well, we *thought* he knew where we were going.

So, he got lost. He kept going down local city streets he thought were the correct ones, then making U-turns when he decided he was going the wrong way. We had this string of cars, winding its way through streets and turning back around, and doing it again... And again... And no one in our car could stop laughing.

The looks on the faces of some of those cops were priceless. If I hadn't though it'd get us into more trouble, I'd have snapped a few pictures for proof.
