So I ruined your Christmas?? Well what about mine???
I didn't really know which page to post this on but I just needed to vent.
Well if any of you have ever worked in a call center you know what peak is.
Peak: The special time of the year where calls are coming in non stop and you can't get a breath in between them. Mostly associated with major holidays like Christmas and such.
Most of the time when it should be the most wonderful time of the year becomes the most horrible time of the year. Where should be about spending time with family and friends turns into work 60 hour weeks and getting yelled at 99.95% of the time.
I am a flex agent. Also call center terms.
Flex agent: A normal csr that gets an extra 50 cents an hour to pretend to be a supervisor. Someone who has sold their soul to the devil for an extra 50 cents.

My life has been over ridden by supervisor calls for the past week. The client I take most of the calls for has really dropped the ball. Their warehouse used to be ran by the company I work for but to save money this multi-million dollar company decided to run their own warehouse. *BIG MISTAKE* Don't get me wrong I remember last peak there being a few mistakes.....A FEW. Not to this extent. The orders that were placed at the beginning of Dec. were pending shipment until Friday. FRIDAY!!! To arrive on the 24th? Yea....not gonna happen. Believe me I wish I had more hope that they are gonna arrive but I really don't think it's gonna happen. Now let's fast forward to the 26th..................... I can just hear it now.

SC: YOU told me that I was gonna get my stuff in time for Christmas.
Me: Yes Mam/sir, according to the information I got from the warehouse we did expect it to arrive on Christmas eve.
SC: I don't care what your warehouse told you. YOU guarenteed me that I was gonna get these items by Christmas. YOU didn't do it. YOU Ruined my Son/daughter's Christmas.
Me: I do apologize....
SC: I don't accept your apology. This is all YOUR Fault. I bet YOUR Kids got their Christmas. I bet YOU didn't have to explain to them why they don't have anything under the tree. Oh wait I bet YOU don't even care. I bet YOU don't even have children. This is what YOU are gonna do for me. I want it FREE and to me tomorrow or ELSE!

I can only imaging the way it's gonna go down. What happened to the joy in this season? What happened to man kind that all they are about is posessions? What happened to enjoying being around the people you love and that being enough?
