So I had these two guys come in, acting just a little strange. They wanted jerky, beer, and were eyeing our $20 dollar lottery. One of them shouted "Two of those!!". I was about to ring it up, when he changed his mind. "Give me one of those, and one of those". He pointed to the 20 dollar one, and one of our ten dollar ones. I rang it up, but didn't put the lottery on the counter. THen he changed his mind. He wanted one of EVERY scratch it.
So I mentally calculate all the lottery. $45 for the top row, $14 for the second row, $8 for the third row, and $5 for the forth row. $72 dollars total. With their one bottle of beer, two bags of jerky, and two single sticks of jerky, the total came to $109. They paid with real money, and I give them their lottery.
They were in the car, about to take off while I was looking at a copy of the recipt. Something about it didn't seem right to me. Then I realized my mistake. I forgot to void the $30 lottery they wanted originally. I shouted to a guy coming in to stop those two guys, and I ran out with $30 bucks, tiling them how sorry I was. (Jebus I felt stupid). They said it was ok, thanks for being honest.
So they came in and bought $30 more, and wanted me to pick out $10 dollars worth for good luck.
