Bug Mobile Hit and Run
This might be the wrong place for this, but...
A year or so ago, I was riding in the car with my stepmother. We were in a little KIA, some kind of smaller 4 door sedan (sorry don't know a lot about cars.)
There was a truck ahead of us, I believe it was an Orkin truck, but don't really remember. We pulled a good 10 feet (at least) behind him, waiting for the light.
You know how manual transmission cars sometimes slide a little back as they idle at a light? Well this truck kept sliding back, little by little. At one point, we realized that this guy was going to hit us if he didn't watch. We honked, just to try to give him a heads up that he was getting aweful close. Well, warning didn't work.
The guy kept sliding back, and he hit us. That is when the light changed, and he proceeded to hightail it out of there. The guy was going SO fast, that by the time WE had gone 2 blocks, he was THREE ahead of us.
Unfortunately, we were so shocked that we missed his license plate number. That's ok though, the company figured it out, they satellite track their vehicles. You should have heard the guys boss freak out when he heard that we had been hit! I believe the general response was a subdued "OMG are any of you hurt." When he found out that both of us were ok, and that the car was ok too, you could hear the relief in his voice. He looked immediately, and found out who it was...
He apologized like 100 times, and you could tell from the tone of his voice, that whoever it was was in BIG trouble.
Had the driver stopped and checked on us, we probably wouldn't have even called the company. It just pissed us off that he didn't bother to stop.
We never did find out what all happened to the guy.
