  • Im still new at this tipping thing!

Despite having lived in Canada im still fairly new at tipping. Usually if im somewhere that requires tipping K pays or tells me whats fair.

But today at the hairdresser I think I might have screwed up.

I had highlites and a quick trim and blow dry. The total came to $147

    I tipped $15 cash

but I think I should have tipped more after the fact, one of my friends here told me you tip on the pre tax amount so that was like $130 or so but then another friend at the bbq yesterday said anything over $10 was considered good.

I dont want to be sucky she was a GREAT stylist

should I go back and give her more of a tip? was the amount to little...
sheesh I HATE this tipping thing, its akward at best!!!

I think the tip is usualy about 10 percent of the full price, so you tipped fine

At the bar that I go too, I just tip 50%. Except for once, when I forgot about it

              I think $15 was fine

Around here, people usually don't even tip hairdressers... said but true, it's just not common here.
