  • I felt SO bad!

I have never embarassed myself so bad before. Well, not in a really long time but this one took the cake.

We have problems with kids hanging around the casino floor and being left alone by their parents.

Well, we have an atm machine right next to the cage. Kids are not allowed to play with the ATM. From where I was standing I couldn't get a clear view of the person at the atm but a few peaks here and there.

Keep in mind I was not trying to be rude in anyway, I really didn't know and I am truly sorry if I offend anybody.

Me: OMG, is that a KID using the atm!?

I yelled this quite loud, twice. Customers and the frontline turned to see.

    Guess what?

It was just a really short old man. I felt so freaking bad. I conviently disappeared into the back until the guy was gone. I should've kept my stupid mouth shut. The guy never heard me but damn if he did I would've deserved to be yelled at.

One of my friends had CF. This had stunted her growth as a child, and she was about the height of your average 12 year old. She had had so much 'what is that kid doing there' that she was understandably- twitchy- about it.

She Larped, used to go to the gathering. The gathering has a rule that kids under a certain age have to stay in the kids adventures, to avoid getting hurt.

One of the poor new refs, saw her figthing in on of the adult fights and stormed in shouting 'everyone stop, we have a kid here! What is this kid doing in the fight! only to be faced with a very pissed off 26 year old.
