  • "Please call me a cab..."

Ever since I took a step down and was no longer a supervisor I have been unable to go into the office to use the upstairs phone.

The phone for the front end, the one I have regular access to doesn't call out. So whenever a customer needs to call a cab or someone else the only option I have is to let them use my cellphone.

I don't mind doing this if I have more than enough time on the phone but if I'm too low on time I see if one of my coworkers can use theirs.

Again, not sucky as such, but it can get annoying at times.

I think its nice you let customers use your phone at all. I dont think Id be comfortable with random people on it.

Oh I call the cab myself. I have two of the major cab companies on my list so all I have to do is scroll it up and tell them where to pick the customer up. Since most of our customers have mobility issues it's not a problem.

The only time I let a customer take a hold of my phone is when I can keep my eye on them at all times.

Crow, that made me laugh and now my hubby thinks I am nuts. Oh, wait, he always knew I was nuts, but now he has even more evidence. Thanks!

and i'm also thinking... why do you need to let them use the phone anyway? that's what pay phones are for. or those little tracfones.
