Insert Foot into Mouth

I was kind of hyper and in a good mood.
Some guy: SG

SG: (pulls out a five dollar ticket) I have a real challenge for you today.

Me: No worries sir, I like them hard. (said in a hyper sing-song voice)

My thoughts after I said this:

I pretty much shoved the five at him and told him to have a good day.

I think he was either as embarassed as I was or didn't notice. I wasn't trying to be dirty but the word just dripped out of my mouth. My co workers thought it was really though.

I have the habit of saying things totally innocently and it can and does get taken as dirty.
(But more the "heheh you said ___" kind of taken as dirty, not the "OMG you have a sick mind!")
