I rang a lady up, she gave me her money, and her change came to be $7.45.
I had to open a new roll of quarters for the 25 cents. This distracted me SO much for some reason, that I forgot all about the $7, and just said "Here's 45 cents and your receipt!"
She took her change, looked at it and had a weird look on her face.
I was looking at her and was wondering why she looked so confused. She wasn't saying anything to me, then I realized I forgot to give her the dollars! So I opened up my drawer and gave it to her.
That's happened to me a total of 3 times now where I just give people the coins and forget the cash. Two of them, including this one, just kind of had a confused look on their faces and started to walk away. One of them informed me I had forgotten the cash, but she did it with a snippy tone. I just need to you tell me, I don't need an attitude, thanks.
