Accidentally Brought Keys Home

On Wednesday, I had a set of override keys with me. I didn't realize I had brought the set home until I changed aprons on Friday. I apologized to the FEM and she was pretty understanding. She told me that she figured someone trustworthy had the keys.

Hehe, one of my CW ended up taking home the days takings from our second store. Put it in her pocket to go from Store B to Store A to put in the safe. She forgot to transfer from pocket to safe. I did wonder why later I saw her walking back to the store. She got halfway home and realised and tried to get back before everybody went home, she was too late We were understanding too though. She brought it back the next day.

I did that all the time with the trash keys back when I worked at Walgreens. I always forgot they were in my pocket. And of course, they were the only keys.

I once took a $5,000 piece of equipment home. A SNC. At least, when the Ops manager was yelling at me, that's how much it cost.

Okay, she wasn't out and out yelling at me. More like getting onto me. She was cool with it; just used me as an example.

I did that once, and by the time I realized it everyone in the store had gone home. And I wasn't scheduled to come in until the next afternoon, or I would have just brought them back with me then. So I ended up tossing them thru the mail slot.

My collegue Tracey once went home with the petrol station keys. That's right, the key set we need to lock up everything in the building and lock the door. Luckily tho, there was a spare set over at the store. xD

I took the safe keys home with me once when I worked at the Grocery Store. I was so used to closing shift into opening shift that I never thought to leave them behind when I had one of my rare closing shifts that went into a day off instead.

So at 6:15 AM on my day off I got a frantic phone call about the missing keys and had to drive into work anyway. Oops.

When I bartended at the casino, we had to keep the beer cooler and liquor cage locked up to keep people (mainly kitchen staff) from sneaking in and helping themselves to alcohol off camera. I had lost count how many times myself or someone else had gone home with those keys and phone calls would have to be made to get them to come back so that their relief could restock the bar.

When I started back at subway the second time (I left on good terms), my first day back I was scheduled to open - it's wasn't untill I got there I realized I hadn't been given an key again OPPS
