  • Tipped the Bucket

I'm taking a 3D design class at my college for an extra curricular. We have to make two clay pieces. I was out in the glazing area painting some glaze onto it so it could be fired.

They have the glaze in buckets about 3 feet tall, which sit on a circular piece of wood with wheels on it so they can be pushed around.

I was putting back a bucket I was done with. I went to push it into a space by another bucket. I pushed it a little too hard, running it into the other bucket, tipping it over. The lid wasn't on very tight, and half of the contents flooded out onto the floor.

I ran and got my teacher in the classroom. I had taken off my shoes and this girl who was out there also was nice enough to wash them off for me.

So my teacher and another instructor squeegeed the glaze to a drain some feet away and around the corner. No one was mad at me, my teacher just told me to be careful when they were done. I felt completely useless though since there were only two squeegees, and I was just trying to not get in the way.

So, my bad. They said it's happened before though. And there was enough glaze in the bucket still where they wouldn't have to make a new batch. And I didn't cry! It probably sounds stupid but I cry really easily over stupid things, especially if it's something that's my fault that I feel bad for.

I completely understand the crying, I tend to get a quiver lip whenever I feel bad about something, whether it was my fault or not. I don't think you have anything to feel bad about, though!
