Very very embarrassed about this! 




me - gives corporate greeting
customer - hello?hello, is someone there?
me - hello, how can i help you?
customer - is anyone there?
me shouting - yes, how can I help you?
Continue for another few times of the same, I am beginning to wonder if customer is being deliberately sucky since I can hear him clearly, there is no crackle on the phone.
finally I realise I have accidently pressed the mute button. I had meant to press the increase sound button since I had trouble hearing the previous customer, the two buttons are one under the other. Not surprisingly as I have muted myself, the Customer can't hear me.
I unmute the customer, apologise for not being able to hear him, continue with call very sheepishly.
