  • Let this be a lesson to myself

    Hi guys,

I figured I'd been lurking around here long enough, and I LOVE some of the stories I have read, so I felt I should contribute

So, let's set the scene, shall we? It was a hot and humid day yesterday, and I had just gotten done eating some ice cream (gotta love that stuff on a hot day, eh?). I had known for a long time that a game for the Nintendo Wii (Super Mario Galaxy 2) was coming out on May 23rd, and I KNEW that I was going to get my hands on a copy of it (I even had it in my mind that I wasn't going to need to pay for it, since I had "supposedly" reserved it in advance.

Now, I say supposedly because as I walked into Gamestop, I told the counter clerk that I was there to pick my game up, to which she asked for my phone number. Only one problem, though. My info was NOT in the system at all.

Honestly one of two things could have happened here:

    1. Start arguing with the clerk, and maintain that I DID reserve a copy online (she just wasn't looking hard enough, anyways)

    2. Realize that I maybe didn't reserve it, and I closed out the browser window before it finished

Which option do you guys think I went with? (Cookies to whomever gets it right)

Ouch. I think we've all dug our heels in to find we're wrong sometimes. Who me? No, not me. Not at all!

Haha, yeah, I know. I know I was like that once, when I was much younger. I had eaten stuff at an italian restaurant before and, like many people do, I had some left-overs for the next day (though I had SOMEHOW, gotten to thinking that I had ordered lasagna, when in fact, I ordered manicotti)
