  • When you got to go...

    Not a sucky guest, just a sucky situation. We do not have a public restroom at the motel.

    Guest comes in doing the "pee pee dance". I check her in in 30 seconds flat and send her up with her keys. Unfortunately and unbeknownst to me, the door is jammed. I see her throw her keys down to her friend. I check the keys and see they should work, so instead of messing with that room further I just move her to a room next door and let her friend know. Her friend runs back outside to throw the new keys back up, but the paying guest is gone.

    I went out with a key to the first room to see what exactly was wrong, and as I headed towards the stairs I saw the guest standing up in the bushes with a very relieved look on her face...

    (It is much better than just pissing yourself in the lobby, which I have had happen with drunk guests, more than once...)
    Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.

    OMG, I have so much sympathy for that guest ... especially since she used a solution that was both sensible and considerate of other guests AND the staff ...

      Well, when you gotta go, ya gotta go. At least she had some consideration for the other employees and guests.
      Some people just need a high five...
